How We Work
Deep dives into each service, with real examples from organizations we've partnered with.
Curriculum Development
We design rigorous, evidence-based curricula tailored to your organization's learners and goals. Whether you're training a fellowship cohort, onboarding new staff, or building professional development tracks, we handle research, content architecture, facilitation guides, and evaluation frameworks. Our curricula are built to last—designed for reuse, adaptation, and integration into existing programs.
Example: BLKHLTH's Racial Equity & Pain Equity Curricula
BLKHLTH engaged us to develop two major curricula: the CARES fellowship (Community Advocacy for Racial Equity School) and the Advil Pain Equity Curriculum (co-designed with Morehouse School of Medicine). The results: four cohorts trained, 120 fellows educated, and content now integrated into Morehouse's core curriculum.
"Thinking through how we can better get people talking to each other and not just listening to us—I think that's a lesson we learned from Kim." — Matthew McCurdy, Executive Director, BLKHLTH
"She's professional, submits work on time, and she delivers. In resource-constrained organizations, that's ultimately what people are looking for." — Matthew McCurdy, BLKHLTH
Example: BCT Partners' Strategic Advisory Curriculum
Designed a federal-client training program focused on translating research into actionable strategy. Jennifer Kenyon praised the "big picture thinking" paired with precise detail work—evidence-based design that delivers real outcomes.
"Sets vision and gets the work done." — Jennifer Kenyon, BCT Partners
Example: Children's Home Society of New Jersey
Facilitated consensus-building curriculum design with respect for program fidelity and organizational values. Maritza Raimundi-Petroski highlighted the empathetic leadership and integrity that shaped every decision.
"She led with integrity, care, and clarity—and created true consensus, not just compliance." — Maritza I. Raimundi-Petroski, VP Strategic Initiatives, Children's Home Society of NJ
In-Person Facilitation
We design and lead in-person retreats, workshops, and convenings that build trust, surface insights, and move teams toward action. We combine evidence-based group dynamics with careful agenda design to create spaces where people feel safe enough to think critically and collaborate authentically. Whether you need a multi-day retreat or a focused half-day workshop, we handle facilitation, logistics, and follow-up support.
Example: Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids (CTFK) Retreat
CTFK's 21-person International Grants team needed their first retreat after organizational growth. We built a retreat blueprint in just 8 weeks that balanced celebration, strategy, and team alignment. Ayesha Ahmad, Director of International Grants, told us the results spoke for themselves.
"She shared an agenda. It was a great solid draft for us to start with—then we were able to tweak with her, session by session, outcome by outcome." — Ayesha Ahmad, CTFK
"We were actually hearing real feelings and real thoughts. Not just people checking a box. We're not just cogs in the machines. We're people." — Ayesha Ahmad, CTFK
"She made it fun. And she made it safe." — Ayesha Ahmad, CTFK
Outcomes: Retreat design/facilitation template for future years; shared language around communication styles and generational differences; groundwork for department work plan with continuous progress tracking.
Example: Bergen County Department of Health Staff Workshop
During a period of major organizational change, we facilitated an all-staff workshop (~60 participants) designed to boost morale and foster cross-division collaboration. Sonali Limaye, a workshop participant, described the impact:
"The workshop was very well-structured and well-crafted. It was based on research and evidence. The facilitation style led people toward solutions rather than handing them over." — Sonali Limaye, Bergen County Department of Health
Outcome: Staff co-created mini roadmaps for their divisions, building both confidence and a sense of shared direction during uncertainty.
Virtual Facilitation
Remote doesn't mean disconnected. We design and lead virtual workshops, meetings, and convenings that maintain engagement, build relationships, and drive outcomes—even across time zones. We're experienced with hybrid and fully distributed teams, and we leverage digital tools thoughtfully to create interactive, inclusive experiences.
Share a virtual facilitation example with us if you have one—or let's discuss your virtual meeting goals.
Meeting Design
Great meetings are rare—and they're not accidents. We design strategic meetings: board meetings, leadership retreats, cross-functional kickoffs, stakeholder convenings, and milestone celebrations. Each meeting is a chance to build alignment, surface diverse perspectives, and move forward together. We handle everything from agenda development and logistics to real-time facilitation and follow-up communications.
Whether you need a single high-stakes meeting or a series of strategy sessions, we bring intention to every interaction.
Workforce Development & Capacity Building
Building stronger teams starts with investing in people. We partner with organizations to design and deliver workforce development programs: leadership training, communication skills workshops, strategic planning facilitation, and organizational culture work. We focus on practical, sustainable capacity—equipping your team with tools and frameworks they can use long after we're gone.
We work alongside you to understand your team's strengths, gaps, and aspirations—then create development experiences that feel relevant and actionable.
